On April 15, within the framework of the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife and the high-level delegation of Vietnam, Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Hoang Minh Son and Minister of Education of China Hoai Tien Bang signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of vocational education.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the basis of continuing the Education Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of the two countries in 2022 and within the framework of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership, with the aim of strengthening, promoting and developing cooperation in the field of vocational education.
According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides will focus on strengthening exchanges and exchanging with teachers, experts and learners; and at the same time coordinate to foster and improve the capacity of the team working in vocational education and develop programs, textbooks, and training materials.
Along with that, encouraging the expansion of cooperation between vocational education institutions of the two countries, implementing joint training forms, gradually moving towards recognizing learning outcomes and strengthening skills training for workers associated with business needs.
Cooperation is also oriented to expand in industries, occupations and fields of industry with strengths, while strengthening the organization of conferences, seminars, professional forums, promoting information sharing, resources and experience in training.
The two sides support the research, development, and implementation of a number of vocational education cooperation programs and projects in a practical direction, associated with practice, creating conditions for learners to participate in internships and skills training at training institutions and businesses.
In addition, the two sides coordinate to research, develop and develop quality standards in vocational education, promote innovation, integration and sustainable development; and strengthen support in participating in regional and international professional activities and playgrounds.
On that basis, the two sides aim to promote the connection between training and human resource development needs, expand cooperation in priority industrial and technology fields, and strengthen the exchange of experts, teachers and learners, thereby improving the quality of training and promoting international integration in vocational education.
The Memorandum of Understanding takes effect from the date of signing, with a term of 5 years and automatic extension. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding contributes to concretizing cooperation between the two Ministries in the field of vocational education, promoting human resource development, strengthening the link between training and business needs, serving socio-economic development in the new period.
