On December 4, information from Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the unit has just issued a plan to have 100% of primary schools and secondary and high schools with qualified facilities and a team of teachers organize teaching sessions per day.
In the 2025 - 2026 school year alone, the whole province plans to have 430/555 primary schools (77.47%) and 220 secondary schools (75 high schools and 145 secondary schools) implement this model.
The rate will increase gradually each year, aiming for full coverage in the 2029 - 2030 school year. To meet the requirements, Lam Dong province will invest in consolidating classrooms, adding standard department rooms, libraries, experience areas and multi-purpose buildings.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requires localities to ensure a minimum of 1 room/class and a ratio of 1.5 teachers/class for primary schools; at the same time, review, recruit and regulate teachers according to job positions, ensuring 100% of teachers meet the standards according to the 2019 Education Law.

The education sector will innovate teaching methods towards capacity development, increasing the application of information technology and artificial intelligence; expanding STEM/STEAM, foreign language and physical education activities. Propaganda work will also be promoted to create consensus between parents and the community.
Regarding financial resources, the province prioritizes allocating local budgets, while integrating programs, projects and plans to increase investment in facilities, teaching equipment and funding for teaching two sessions/day. In addition, the province will promote socialization, creating conditions for organizations and individuals to participate in investing in education.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with departments and local People's Committees to implement the plan. The whole province will organize a summary at the end of the 2029 - 2030 school year to evaluate the effectiveness and propose further orientations.
Sharing about this issue, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a resident of Bao Loc Ward 2, said: "I think this is a very necessary policy. Children in 2 sessions will have more time to practice skills and approach new learning methods instead of just learning knowledge from books".
"I expect my child to develop more comprehensively, especially self-study ability and English application skills, information technology - which the provincial education sector is aiming for" - Mr. Thanh said.
