The Lunar New Year holiday schedule for 2025 is specified in the 2024-2025 school year schedule as prescribed by the People's Committees of provinces and cities. However, this schedule may change, depending on the actual situation.
Below is the updated Tet holiday schedule of provinces and cities.
39. Hai Phong:
Officials, teachers, employees, workers, and students will have 9 consecutive days off for Lunar New Year, from Saturday, January 25, 2025 (ie December 26, year of the Dragon) to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (ie January 5, year of the Snake).
This holiday includes 5 days of Lunar New Year holiday and 4 days of weekly holidays. Teaching and learning will resume as usual from Monday, February 3, 2025 (January 6, At Ty year).
40. Phu Tho:
Officials, teachers, and students of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, centers under the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province, vocational education and continuing education centers of districts, towns, and cities will have Lunar New Year holidays from Monday, January 20 to Sunday, February 2 (from December 21 of the year of Giap Thin to January 5 of the year of At Ty).
For preschool education, units will base on the reality and needs of parents to agree on appropriate Tet holiday time.
41. Thua Thien - Hue:
Students at all levels will have 9 days off for Lunar New Year, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025.
Previously, a series of provinces and cities such as Ha Tinh, Tay Ninh, Quang Ninh, Gia Lai, Tra Vinh, Binh Phuoc, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, An Giang, Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh... announced detailed schedules for the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.
