According to An Giang Provincial Police, since the beginning of the year, there have been 9 fights in the province that caused injuries involving 26 students. Of which, 6 cases occurred outside of school, 3 cases occurred in school. The subjects of school violence injuries are 7 cases of secondary school students, accounting for more than 77%, the rest are high school students; there are cases of health damage with a disability rate of over 31%.

Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Thanh Ngu - Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police - said: There are many causes of school violence, including factors from students, schools, families and society. However, from the reality, the cause determined by the students is mainly. The incident had weapons prepared by the students in advance but the consequences were unpredictable, causing injuries and damage to their health.

Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Thanh Ngu explained: "Students aged 12-17 are an important stage in the process of physical and mental development. During this period, personality is taking shape and is easily affected by negative factors in society. Originating from conflicts in studying, speaking ill of each other on social networks, being threatened...".

For schools and educational management agencies, improving training programs is an important step. It is necessary to apply strict disciplinary measures, handling and education to deal with students who cause violence. This also needs to go hand in hand with timely support for victims, helping them recover and feel safe.
