Thu Duc High School (Thu Duc Ward) also sent a letter of thanks, calling on parents and benefactors to instead of giving congratulatory flowers, they could convert them into scholarships for students in difficult circumstances or contribute to support people affected by storms and floods.

"The scholarships will be awarded by the school to students in the celebration of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day as a gift that the school's pedagogical community encourages, motivates them to overcome difficulties, nurture dreams and add motivation to study; the school also allocates a part of the money to join hands to share with people in flood-affected areas, demonstrating the educational purpose that the school wants to spread, educating humanity to students", the letter stated.

Phan Van Tri Primary School (Cau Ong Lanh Ward) sent a notice to parents and benefactors that it would not accept flowers on the occasion of November 20, but would like to replace them with books, candy or school supplies for students.
