The School for the Gifted - Ho Chi Minh City National University said that this year, 3,509 candidates registered to take the exam, a decrease compared to last year (October 3, 843). The average admission rate this year is 1/5.9.
Of which, the number of candidates registered for the English, Math, and Literature classes is the highest. English subjects were chosen by 1,272 candidates, followed by Math with more than 1,018 students, Literature with 782 candidates taking the exam.
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on May 24 and 25 at 3 exam locations, including:
Exam No. 1: Propaganda and Technology High School (District 5 campus), address at 153 Nguyen Chi Thanh (Ward 9, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City). The exam will be held on May 24 and the morning of May 25.
Exam No. 2: Saigon Practical High School, address at 220 Tran Binh Trong (Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City). The exam will be held on May 24 and the afternoon of May 25.
Exam No. 3: Petroleum High School (Thu Duc campus), address at Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area (Linh Trung ward, Thu Duc city). The exam will be held on May 24 and May 25.
Tang Thien pho thong noted that candidates need to print their own registration form on the school's admission system, from May 21, to present at the exam.
Candidates need to carefully look at the exam location of each subject to avoid confusion between the exam scores in District 5 and Thu Duc facility.
Candidates need to be present at the exam location at least 45 minutes before the start of the exam to ensure completion of procedures to enter the exam room according to regulations and have a comfortable mentality before the exam.
When traveling, you need to bring your ID card, in case you do not have an ID card, you must present your identification documents with photos. The exam council has the right not to allow candidates to take the exam if they do not carry the above documents.
In case there are errors in the full name, middle name, name, date, month, year of birth on the exam paper, the supervisor must immediately report it when his name is called into the exam room of the first exam for timely handling.

In the exam, each candidate must take 4 subjects, including 3 non-professional subjects (Math, Literature, English) and 1 specialized subject from the following subjects: Math, Informatics, Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English.
Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 subjects in the optional subject exam. In case of registration for 2 subjects, candidates need to ensure that they choose 1 subject in each group (group 1: Math - Literature; group 2: English - Physics - Chemistry - Biology - Informatics).
