Vinh Long - In addition to disciplining the students who beat up their friends, the education sector determined that the school's principal and two teachers also had related violations.

On October 8, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District, Vinh Long Province reported on the handling of a group of students who beat up their friends right on the campus of Trung Hieu Secondary School. Accordingly, it agreed to suspend 8 male students who beat up their friends for 1 school year (2024-2025) and suspend the female student who filmed the incident for 2 weeks.

Students who stood by and watched and did not report or intervene were criticized in front of the whole school and had their conduct grade lowered one level.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district stated that in this incident, the management staff and teachers of Trung Hieu Secondary School also committed violations.

Accordingly, Mr. V.H.T, as the head of the unit, did not strictly manage the discipline and ethics of the students. In the last 2 school years, Trung Hieu Secondary School has had many incidents of students fighting, causing injuries, and students insulting teachers.

The Vice Principal and teachers of Trung Hieu Secondary School have repeatedly proposed to handle the students who violated the law, but Mr. V.H.T. had no solution and did not handle the situation thoroughly. When it came to the incident where a group of students beat up a friend and filmed a clip, he did not promptly handle it, report it to leaders at all levels, and did not promptly notify the families of the beaten students to take measures to support the students.

For Mr. H.H.H - the homeroom teacher did not manage the class closely, students fought many times in class but he did not detect it, did not have a solution to manage students and prevent students from fighting.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc T - the teacher in charge of the General Department has not fulfilled her responsibility in managing student discipline. When a parent sent a clip of a student being beaten by a group, Ms. T only sent it to the Principal without discussing it with the student's family to promptly take them to first aid.

"The Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district will coordinate with the Department of Internal Affairs to establish a disciplinary council to handle the principal and teachers of Trung Hieu Secondary School," the report stated.

Previously, on September 21, student T.T.L (8th grade student, Trung Hieu Secondary School) "collided" with the back of his classmate, student N.H.N.

Feeling hurt, N went home and told the story, and N's family reported the incident to L's family. Being punished by her family, L invited many other friends in grade 8 to beat N.

On September 23, in class, N was beaten by a group of male students using helmets, brooms, chairs... causing soft tissue injuries and had to be hospitalized for treatment. Currently, N's health is stable.

It is worth mentioning that the incident happened in front of many students, but no one intervened and instead cheered, encouraged, and filmed it.
