On May 24, the first phase of the independent competency assessment (SPT) exam of Hanoi National University of Education entered the second day of the exam with many important exam subjects.
In the morning, candidates completed the English and Math exams. In the afternoon, they continued to take the exams for Technology (industrial orientation), Technology (agriculture orientation), Informatics, Economic and Legal Education.

According to reporters' records, in the hot weather, the outdoor temperature at times is nearly 40 degrees Celsius, many parents have to find shady trees to avoid the sun while waiting for their children to complete the exam.
Many families prepared drinking water, snacks, and hand fans to support students on stressful exam days.

Sitting under a tree in the schoolyard, Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhu (46 years old, from Ninh Binh) said that his whole family including his wife and three children had come to Hanoi from the afternoon of May 22nd to accompany his eldest daughter in this exam.
Parents want to stand side by side with their children in the important exam, so the whole family decided to go together. Although it's a bit hard, everyone wants their children to have more motivation" - Mr. Nhu shared.
His family rented a room about 1km from the exam site for convenient travel. However, the harsh sun of Hanoi made the members quite tired after two days of moving and waiting outdoors.
The father had to constantly remind his young children to drink water and limit walking in the hot sun.
It's also hot in the countryside, but Hanoi is much more stuffy. The whole family has to find a shady place to maintain their health while waiting for their child to finish the exam" - Mr. Nhu said.
According to him, this is not just an exam, but also an opportunity for children to assess their abilities.
As parents, we just want our children to be calm, do well on the test and have more confidence for the road ahead" - Mr. Nhu expressed.

Also present at the exam site, Mr. Nguyen Quy Tien (43 years old, from Phu Tho) quietly sat waiting for his daughter in the school grounds, next to her were a backpack and belongings he had brought since morning.
Mr. Tien said that the two fathers and sons came to Hanoi two days ago to let their son take the exam with the desire to pursue Pedagogy.
As soon as my child said he wanted to take the Pedagogy exam, my husband and I immediately agreed. The family in the countryside is still facing many difficulties, but as long as my child is determined to study, parents will try their best to take care of him properly" - Mr. Tien said.
Under the scorching sun, the father still patiently sat waiting for his child for many hours. For him, the most important thing is not the pressure of grades, but seeing his child boldly pursue his dream.

According to statistics from Hanoi National University of Education, in both exam phases, this year's exam recorded a record number of registered applications with nearly 23,000 candidates; an increase of 5,000 students compared to last year.
