The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province announced that it will not accept flowers to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day but will call for support for schools to overcome the damage after storm No. 13.

On November 12, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province informed that before the Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the unit had just announced that it would not accept congratulatory flowers on this occasion.

The reason is that storm No. 13 has just swept through Dak Lak province, causing heavy damage to people in the province and many educational institutions.

Therefore, the unit announced that it will not accept congratulatory flowers on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day at the Department and affiliated educational institutions.

The leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training shared their hope that units and individuals should pay attention, instead of congratulatory flower baskets, to encourage educational institutions by providing teaching equipment and books for students.

According to statistics, storm No. 13 has affected 226 schools and educational institutions in Dak Lak province. The total damage to facilities, infrastructure and teaching equipment is estimated at more than 22 billion VND.

Many schools and classrooms had their roofs blown off, damaged and walls collapsed. 654 sets of desks and chairs and 176 sets of computers were damaged by flooding, more than 1,000 trees in schools were broken...
