On November 12, information from the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province said that it had sent a document to departments, branches, sectors and localities on strengthening leadership and direction in preventing and combating school violence, crimes and social evils in the province.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province requested the Department of Education and Training to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to include the content of preventing and combating school violence, preventing crimes and social evils among students in programs and projects for socio-economic development, improving the quality of annual education and training in the province.
Strengthen education on ethics, lifestyle, and life skills for students; promote propaganda and dissemination of laws; tighten discipline and order in schools; strictly handle violations and promptly commend and replicate groups and individuals with cultural behavior in schools.
Establish a "hotline" to receive information about school violence; integrate and incorporate the content of preventing and combating school violence into a number of subjects and extracurricular programs. At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Police to deploy models of "Safe School Gates", "School Consulting Group", "Preventing school violence" ... to promptly detect, prevent, and resolve conflicts in students.
The Provincial People's Committee also requires schools to closely coordinate with families and society in managing and educating children; paying special attention to relationships and friends' activities outside of school; promptly detecting and supporting students with special signs, addiction to games, use of e-cigarettes or banned substances.
The Provincial Police are assigned to direct functional units and the police of communes and wards to strengthen security and order in school areas; coordinate with the education sector to organize training, propaganda, raise legal awareness of crimes, social evils, acts of abuse, violence, and child abuse.
Commune and ward authorities are required to allocate funds and mobilize necessary resources to effectively implement the work of preventing and combating school violence; at the same time, strengthen inspection, supervision and assessment of coordination between schools, families and society in educating and protecting students, contributing to building a safe and healthy school environment.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has had 9 cases of school violence. Of which, from the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year until now, there have been 2 cases that have caused particularly serious consequences, causing 2 students to die and many students at risk of being taken advantage of.
