Born and raised in Yen Bai (now Lao Cai), Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Hung worked in the highlands for many years before holding the position of Director of Thai Nguyen University in 2022. Therefore, he understands the hardships of mountainous education better than anyone. For that captain, knowledge and improving the quality of education are the keys to opening the door to sustainable development, gradually narrowing the gap between regions.
As a research enthusiast, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Hung soon affirmed his capacity in the field of science, an industry with highapplicability, associated with practical issues in the Northern mountainous region. When he was at the head of Thai Nguyen University - Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Hung always oriented the unit to play a central role in training, research and technology transfer in the area. Thereby serving the northern midland and mountainous provinces - home to more than 12 million people, of which more than 50% are ethnic minorities.
After graduating, the guiding principle of Thai Nguyen University students will be to promote knowledge well, apply it to production practice and life to contribute significantly to socio-economic development.
I always want to stay long-term and contribute to the education career in the midland and mountainous areas of the North - where I was born, raised and always struggled to contribute to narrowing the gap in knowledge between regions, realizing the aspiration for sustainable development of the country - Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Hung emphasized.
