Over the past time, Lao Dong Newspaper has had many articles reflecting the thoughts of school staff about salaries and preferential policies.
School staff such as clerks, accountants, librarians, equipment, cashiers... play an important role, supporting school operations, helping teachers teach better. Despite having important and indispensable tasks in schools, in the past time, the lives of school staff have been very difficult. They are sad when they have to concurrently perform many tasks, but policies and income are still not satisfactory and they do not receive preferential allowances.
Through more than 100 articles, Lao Dong Newspaper not only recorded thoughts and concerns, but also proposed and recommended many policies on salary and allowance regimes to ensure that "people who silently contribute to educational institutions" ensure their lives.

On May 22, the Government issued Decree No. 182/2026/ND-CP stipulating the regime of professional preferential allowances for teachers, educational institution managers and educational support personnel working in public educational institutions. According to the decree, teachers are entitled to professional preferential allowances from 20-80%.
In particular, for the first time, educational support personnel (school staff) in public educational institutions are included in the area to enjoy preferential allowances according to the profession with an allowance level of 20%.
This is a noteworthy new point of the Decree, showing recognition for the staff participating in supporting educational activities in schools.
Upon receiving this good news, on May 24, the school staff sent a thank-you letter to Lao Dong Newspaper.
In the letter, the school staff expressed: We are representatives of the school staff nationwide - the silent laborers behind the operation of each school. Today, when the recommendations on the allowance regime after 3 long years have initially brought results, the first person we think of and want to send our deepest gratitude to is Lao Dong Newspaper. Over the past 3 years, Lao Dong Newspaper has not only fulfilled its role as a mouthpiece, but has truly become a support, a "family member" of us.
According to school staff, the team of reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper did not mind hardship, went deep into every corner of life, listened to every confidence to write meaningful and reasonable articles, demanding rights for the school staff. It is the persistent pursuit of the topic, conveying the thoughts of school staff to management levels, that the concerns of school staff have turned into specific policies.
Although the current results are not yet completely complete as expected, when the balance in regimes between school staff in the delta - city and mountainous, highland, and deep-lying areas... still has a gap, this is already a historical milestone for us. This achievement has the mark, sweat and dedication of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters.
The 3-year journey has closed a journey but opened up a strong bond. We deeply cherish and appreciate the heart and vision of those who work for Lao Dong Newspaper" - the school staff wrote in the thank you letter.
