Both schools will use the exam results for admission purposes.

After the results are available, candidates will use the score of one subject to combine with the results of two subjects in the admission combination. The school said it is considering joining 18 other schools to organize and use the V-SAT exam.

Ho Chi Minh City National University has agreed to implement three admission methods: direct admission; admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University; admission based on the results of the high school exam.

The illustrative test for assessing capacity that this university announced has been adjusted compared to the previously announced content.

The University of Economics and Law also recruits students according to 3 methods: Direct admission and priority direct admission; Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam; Admission based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. Thus, compared to 2024, the school has reduced 2 methods.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology only uses two admission methods: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh City National University and combined admission (assessment of capacity, high school results, high school academic performance and other capacities).

For candidates who do not take the competency assessment exam, the school has a plan to convert their high school graduation exam scores to this exam score. Candidates with competency assessment exam scores from Hanoi National University will also be converted to competency assessment exam scores from Ho Chi Minh City National University according to the prescribed coefficient.

Nha Trang University will consider admission based on the combination of high school academic results and university academic ability assessment results. The school will organize a preliminary selection (necessary conditions) through the results of the transcripts in the subjects prescribed by the school, then consider admission (sufficient conditions) by the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam or the results of the ability assessment exam.

With the preliminary selection through high school results, each major and training major has a number of subjects according to the school's regulations. The results of these subjects must meet the minimum requirements announced by the school every year.

The orientation of the admission combination from the high school graduation exam of the school includes the main subjects: math, literature and English; math, literature (one of the two subjects multiplied by a coefficient of 2); math, literature and 1 subject suitable for the training major. In case the candidate does not study the necessary subjects in high school for the major being admitted, the school will consider the study results in high school and evaluate the capacity of other subjects instead and will supplement the missing knowledge in the first semester of the course.

Meanwhile, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine increased 3 admission methods compared to 2024. Accordingly, 6 admission methods in 2025, including: Considering high school graduation exam results; direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; using the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; using international certificates for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; using other methods.
