Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested the provincial Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Phu Cat district, An Nhon town to check and clarify press information reflecting on cases of female students being beaten by a group, which spread on social networks.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested agencies and units to strictly handle responsibilities for related groups and individuals; report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee before May 5.

As Lao Dong reported, in less than a month, Binh Dinh has had consecutive cases of female students being beaten by group friends, filming clips and posting them on social networks, causing public outrage.
On the afternoon of April 12, at the land at the foot of De Gi bridge (Cat Khanh commune, Phu Cat district), a female student was repeatedly hit in the head, face, and abdomen by a group of friends using a helmet with the same hand and foot.

Even when the victim fell onto the road, screamed, and could not resist, the group of female students continued to assault, grabbed her hair and repeatedly kicked her in the head. Notably, there were many teenagers around who witnessed the incident, but no one intervened but instead laughed and encouraged the violent act.
Through verification, the female student beaten was N.T.T.H, a 7th grade student at My Thanh Secondary School (Phu My district). The group of female students who participated in beating H included L.T.D.T (schoolmates at the same school as H); V.T.Q.N, 8th grade student at Cat Thanh Secondary School (Phu Cat district) and D.T.A.T (school dropouts).
On the afternoon of April 19, a clip was circulated on social media recording a scene of a female student being brutally beaten by two other female friends in the middle of an empty lot. In the clip, the victim could only hold her head and endure the beating, not daring to resist.
The clip, after being posted, attracted tens of thousands of interactions and shares, most of whom expressed their anger at school violence.
Through initial verification, this incident occurred on March 23 (Sunday), at the new An Nhon market area (Binh Dinh ward, An Nhon town). The victim was N.P.K.V, an 8th grade student at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School. The two students who participated in beating V were L.B.A.N (grade 9 at Dap Da Ward Secondary School, wearing a red shirt) and D.T.D.A (grade 8 at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School, in a blue and black shirt). The person standing outside to stir up and film the clip was N.B.Tr (class 9 at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School).
The initial cause was determined to be that V had a conflict with two 8th grade female students at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School through social media (in the same group as N), so N replaced him with a friend to beat V.
Most recently, at noon on April 16, at a snail restaurant in Nhon Hanh commune (An Nhon town), T.A.M (a 8th grade student at Nhon Hanh Secondary School) was assaulted by N.K.L (a 11A1 class student at Hoa Binh High School, An Nhon town) in the presence of many students.
