On the evening of October 16, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. H (in Quarter 4, Ba Dinh Ward, Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province) said that his family had sent a petition to the authorities requesting clarification of the incident in which teacher T. (a teacher of class 1B, Ba Dinh Primary School) beat his daughter, causing her to have a broken ear and bruises on her back.
According to Mr. H, earlier on the night of October 10, the family saw that the ear of their daughter, T.P.N. (6 years old, student of grade 1B, Ba Dinh Primary School) had a 1cm crack, and a bruised back the size of a hand.
"After trying to inquire, the family learned that while studying at school, Ms. T. had pulled her ear and hit her back and head many times. Not only my child, but many other children were also affected by Ms. T., however, my daughter was the most affected" - Mr. H said.
According to Mr. H, after discovering the incident, on the morning of October 11, he took his daughter to Bim Son General Hospital for examination. The doctors concluded that the child had skin injuries on her back due to being beaten.
After receiving the examination results, he went directly to the school to request to extract the classroom camera and clarify the above incident.
"When I watched the security camera, I was shocked because teacher T had beaten my daughter many times. The school representative also admitted the incident," said Mr. H.
According to Mr. H, last year, the child of a close friend of his was also beaten by this teacher, but the incident was later let go.
"Last time, my friend did not do enough, causing my child to be beaten again today. Therefore, this time, I hope the authorities will intervene and handle the matter according to the law, to avoid this situation from happening again in the future" - Mr. H was indignant.
According to Mr. H, after the incident, the school representative and teacher T came to the house to apologize to the family and the child. However, the family still did not accept it, because teacher T's beating of students had been going on year after year. In addition, the family also requested to transfer their daughter to another class, and the school accepted.
