Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Principal of the University of Transport emphasized when speaking at the Conference summarizing scientific research of students in the 2024 - 2025 school year this morning, May 28.
Mr. Hung said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the school's student scientific research activities will continue to have strong developments with 733 approved topics, with the participation of nearly 3,000 students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Branch.

During the student science research week, 694/733 topics were successfully defended, reaching nearly 96%. The organizing committee selected 344 outstanding topics to award, including 63 First Prizes in Hanoi and 7 First Prizes at the Ho Chi Minh City Branch. At the same time, 10 excellent topics at the school level were selected to participate in the final round at the Ministry of Education and Training level.
Mr. Hung assessed that the quality of the topics is increasingly improved. The topics are not only academic but also highly applicable, linked to practical issues of the transportation industry such as: Construction works, mechanical engineering, economic transportation, logistics, electricity - electronics, information technology, environment and smart cities...
In addition, there is cooperation with businesses and experts outside the school from participating in guidance to assessment and acceptance work, this is an important step to increase criticism, link training with the labor market and modern industrial development trends.

The research group model is increasingly expanded, many topics are deployed long-term, gradually professionalizing the research process, moving towards publishing, applying, and transferring research products.
Outstanding academic playgrounds such as the National Mechanical Olympiad have been widely supported by students and have won many high awards, demonstrating comprehensive development in technical thinking, research skills and academic spirit.

"This is the result of the students' continuous efforts and the dedicated guidance of the instructors" - Mr. Hung said.
However, Mr. Hung said that to go further, students need to continue to innovate more strongly, dare to think, dare to do, dare to commit to new, difficult, and unsolved problems.
"Innovation and entrepreneurship are not a slogan but must become a flow in the thinking and actions of each student. I hope that you will continue to keep your passion, practice your academic qualities, constantly learn, confidently step out into the world and actively contribute to the development of the country" - the Principal of the University of Transport told students.
