On September 21, the Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament of EQuest Champion Series 2024 - 2025 in the Northern region officially took place at Alpha An Khanh School, attracting hundreds of young athletes, demonstrating sportsmanship and high professionalism.
Ensuring fairness and professionalism
The 2024 - 2025 EQuest Champion Series Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament is organized on the largest scale ever, with the desire to create a meaningful playground, where students can not only freely demonstrate their abilities and achieve high achievements, but also have the opportunity to exchange, connect and spread the spirit of exciting school sports.
Following the success of the Swimming Tournament held in August, the Badminton and Table Tennis Tournaments soon received the attention and excitement of all students, teachers, parents and fans. Over the course of many months, the exciting training atmosphere spread throughout the schools in the EQuest system.
The tournament took place with 5 competitions: women's singles, men's singles, mixed doubles, men's doubles, women's doubles for 4 age groups: Primary school, Middle school grades 6-7, Middle school grades 8-9, High school. After more than 100 sets of matches, 14 sets of medals were awarded.
All matches are supervised and controlled by a team of professional referees. Sharing about the organization, Mr. Pham Nhu Thuan, former player of the Vietnam national football team, Head of Sports of EQuest Group said: “Although the tournament is only held internally for EQuest Group students, we highly value the professional factor. Before the tournament, the schools organized training, selecting the team with the best faces to represent the school to participate in the competition. The organizing committee is made up of professional athletes, national and international caliber, who will contribute to bringing the highest professional quality, helping students get closer to semi-professional and professional tournaments in the future”.
Sharing about the proud achievement in Table Tennis in this year's tournament, Nguyen Duy Thanh, a student of Hanoi Star School, said: "I am very happy and also surprised about this achievement. Because this year the tournament had many strong opponents. Initially, I lost to my opponent, but in the next match, I tried to "come back" and win the final result. After the tournament, all athletes from the teams felt more connected and improved in terms of health, skills and competition experience. We look forward to the next season of EQuest Champion Series to conquer even higher achievements."
