On October 15, Mr. Nguyen Phu Tho - Principal of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted said that according to the schedule, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province will organize a ceremony to honor and reward Vo Quang Phu Duc on Wednesday (October 16, 2024).
Mr. Nguyen Tan - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province informed that the Olympia Champion in 2024 will be honored and rewarded according to current regulations of the Provincial People's Council.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tan, Phu Duc's achievements bring great honor to the province, so the commendation is not only to recognize his contributions but also to encourage the spirit of learning for all students in the whole province.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 14, the champion of Road to Olympia 2024 Vo Quang Phu Duc returned to Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted under a warm welcome from local leaders, the Board of Directors, teachers and students of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted.
The first thing Phu Duc did when he entered the school was go to the statue of President Ho Chi Minh to report his achievements, expressing his deep gratitude to the great leader of the nation.
Before Phu Duc, Quoc Hoc Hue had 6 other climbers who had reached the final round of Road to Olympia, including: Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao - Runner-up in 2005, Nguyen Manh Tan - Runner-up in 2008, Ho Ngoc Han - Champion in 2009. Thai Ngoc Huy - Runner-up in 2011. Ho Dac Thanh Chuong - Champion in 2016, Nguyen Minh Triet - Runner-up in 2023.
Currently, Quoc Hoc Hue is the only high school in the country with 3 contestants winning the championship of Road to Olympia; it is the school with a record of 7 students in the final round.
