The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has issued a document responding to people's petitions regarding the implementation of the project to build Thu Dau Mot University, Facility 2 (in Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat city).

Thu Dau Mot University will continue to register a public investment capital plan to build the next items in the period of 2026-2030. At the same time, balance resources to invest in modern facilities and equipment to improve the quality of training and research.
Currently, Thu Dau Mot University is developing a project, including investment in expanding the facility in Ben Cat. After completion, the project will be submitted to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province for approval for implementation.
It is known that Thu Dau Mot University was established in June 2009 with an area of 6.7 hectares in Thu Dau Mot city. When preparing the establishment plan, Thu Dau Mot University was allocated 57 hectares of land in Thoi Hoa Industrial - Urban Area, Ben Cat city, Binh Duong to build a second campus.
The People's Committee of Binh Duong province also agreed to invest in the construction of many works here such as: dormitories, gifted schools, construction of technical infrastructure, fences, campuses, administrative buildings, lectures, libraries, halls, departments offices, laboratories... The total estimated investment is up to 4,063 billion VND.
However, in reality, up to now, inside the land there are only 3 blocks of factories, a house (the type of stilt house for rest, creating landscape), and a lake. The entire remaining land area is vacant.
