On March 16, Hanoi University of Science and Technology held the 2025 Admissions and Career Orientation Consulting Festival.
Colonel Do Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Military Admissions Committee (Ministry of National Defense) noted that candidates who want to register for military schools must register for preliminary admission to meet the requirements.
In addition, candidates who want to prioritize admission to military schools must leave their wishes to enter military schools in their first wish. Other wishes will only be considered for admission to the civil sector.
Regarding admission combinations, according to Mr. Tam, currently, military schools consider admission according to 7 combinations including: Component A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry); A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D02 (Math, Literature, Russian), D04 (Math, Literature, Chinese).
In which, combinations are widely used in schools, especially A00 and A01.
"In 2025, it is expected that there will be 7 more admission combinations. In addition to traditional combinations, new admission combinations will be expanded to suit both candidates studying in the old program (CT 2006) and the new program (CT 2018). But I will prioritize groups with English" - Colonel Do Thanh Tam said.
According to regulations, candidates applying for the military system will have to participate in the preliminary round. If they meet the standards of political background, culture, health and age, candidates will be eligible for admission.
Last year, 17 military schools based on their admission scores on high school graduation exam scores ranged from 20 to 28.55 points. All three schools of Army Officer 2, Engineering and Information have over 22 points.
