Continue writing your dream
In the middle of Mu Ca mountains and forests (Lai Chau), the cheers of the H'Mong children still resounds. Despite the difficulties, the students crossed the forest to the stream to class. Accompanying her on that road was teacher Ly Gio Pu - a teacher at Mu Ca Kindergarten.
Born into a poor family, since she was a child, Ms. Pu had a desire to find a child to read and write. However, it was not until she was 9 that she was exposed to the blackboard of white envelope. From there, she has a dream of becoming a teacher, bringing knowledge to children in the highlands, helping them have the opportunity to study and change their future.
At that time, she grew up in the arms of her parents, growing up from a basket of potatoes and a basket of cassava grown by her mother. To make her dream come true, she could not help but choke up: For all the years standing on the podium, I always have a small wish. How to make children have a roof to study and seek knowledge.
The profession of preschool teachers is even more special. I not only teach my children letters and numbers, but also patience, love and understand the emotions of each child so that every day at school is a happy day. Until now, I can't forget how happy I am to become a teacher".
For that reason, Ms. Pu is always a pioneer, not afraid of hardship and hardship to teach at the most remote schools. The first time she went to the village, everything was extremely difficult, she had to walk 7 hours on more than 60km of mountain road to get to the school. Despite the sun and rain, she still diligently "carried" the words up.

The young female teacher at that time had a time when she could not distinguish between tears and rain. There were nights when she missed her young child, worried and pressured by work, staying up all night, quietly crying alone. However, thanks to her love for her job and her love for her students, she has strongly overcome all difficulties to continue her journey to sow words in the highlands.

Currently, I am a preschool teacher who has been teaching in a particularly difficult area for nearly 18 years, with more work experience and seniority than other colleagues. At the same time, my family's circumstances have stabilized. I want to go first to contribute to solving difficulties in security and order, temporary accommodation and people's ideology, creating a premise for my colleagues to work with peace of mind.
At first, people in the village still did not trust and doubt the teacher. But after a period of eating and living together, people have gradually opened their hearts and trusted to send their children to school" - teacher Pu shared.
Overcoming all obstacles, moving forward together
In the early days of opening the class, the small room of only 10 students was alone, nestled under the makeshift roof, studying every day every word. Just one rain, both the teacher and the student were wet. However, Ms. Pu never thought about giving up, because the innocent eyes of the students gave her the strength to overcome that difficult period.
In 2021, my first child passed away, I felt like I had lost everything. I myself once thought that I no longer have the vitality to pursue this noble profession. But thanks to the encouragement from my family, the school's Board of Directors, colleagues and especially the sparkling eyes of the students gave me the strength to move forward. I told myself I couldn't fall" - Ms. Pu choked up.

On that journey, the female teacher always tries hard, overcomes challenges and thorns. Innovation in teaching methods is something she always focuses on. One of the initiatives she has applied is the integration of technology into teaching.
In addition, she always encourages children to participate in group activities and discuss in lessons to help them learn from friends and develop communication skills. During the teaching process, the female teacher applied many innovative initiatives: combining learning through play with practical experience such as letting children participate in planting trees, taking care of ornamental plants, flowers or making toys from recycled materials by hand.
These activities help children develop life skills, practice creativity and cooperation. In addition, she always learns and constantly explores creativity in teaching methods.

"For me, this is not just a profession, but a journey to sow the seeds of love and nurture small dreams, so that one day, the children will confidently enter life with a warm and determined heart" - teacher Pu smiled gently.
During her work, Ms. Pu has been a typical example of striving and devoting herself to the cause of education in the highlands. In 2025, Ms. Ly Gio Pu was honored to be nominated for commendation in the program "Sharing with teachers" implemented by the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group.
