On April 12, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) of Quang Nam Provincial Police said that it had officially launched an investigation into the case of a 20-month-old boy being abused by a nanny during lunchtime and took statements from related people.
This is an incident that occurred at a group of private children in Con Cung (Phuoc Chanh village, Que My commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam) that shocked public opinion.
On the evening of April 11, 2025, after receiving reports from the people, Que My Commune Police coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province to conduct an examination of the classroom where the incident occurred.
The authorities sealed 1 camera memory card, 1 plastic bar and related items, and took N.P.D.K (born in 2023) to the hospital for health check-ups and damage determination.
According to initial verification results, at 11:55 a.m. on April 11, Ms. N.N.U.L (24 years old) - owner of Con Cung private nursery group, while her nursery was sleeping, committed acts of violence against N.P.D.K and N.L.H.N (both born in 2023). This woman used threats and rough behavior to force the children to hold back and cry and go to bed.
The camera recorded Ms. L. dragging the child out of bed, dragging both legs up and using a hard object to repeatedly hit the child, even kicking the child in the mouth when the children cried in fear. These photos were discovered and posted on social media by N.P.D.K's parents and reported to the police that evening.
At the police station, Ms. L. admitted that all violations were recorded in the video.
The Con Cung preschool group was licensed to operate in 2020, with a maximum of 7 children but has exceeded the prescribed number. Currently, this facility has been suspended to serve the investigation.
