On October 16, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province said that the case of a group of female students from Nong Cong 2 High School fighting is still being handled and investigated by the police.
"When the police have a conclusion on right and wrong, the school will decide on the next form of disciplinary action" - informed the representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province.
Discussing the health status of the female student who was beaten by a group of people, a family representative said that after many days of treatment at Viet Duc Hospital, the female student was transferred to Hop Luc General Hospital for continued monitoring and treatment.
“At Viet Duc Hospital, my child was diagnosed with a fracture of the second cervical vertebra, but he can recover and does not need surgery. He was transferred to Hop Luc General Hospital yesterday (October 15). He is still lying still in bed, his neck is immobilized, he cannot move and still vomits after eating,” said a family representative.
Previously, regarding the incident in which a female 11th grade student at Nong Cong 2 High School (in Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province) was beaten and suffered a broken cervical vertebrae, the school initially verified the cause of the incident.
According to the school, on October 4, a female student in class 10A6 was walking home from school when she saw a female student in class 10A5 walking behind her talking and laughing with another friend. The female student in class 10A6 thought that her friend was talking badly about her, which led to an argument.
On the afternoon of October 5, after school, the two female students continued to argue and fight. Afterwards, the school security guards dispersed the group and the students left. The security guards did not report the incident to the school, and when the students returned to Tan Phuc commune, a fight broke out.
As a result, an 11th grade female student (when she intervened to stop a group of friends from fighting) was beaten and seriously injured. In addition, two other female students also suffered minor injuries.
After the incident, the school's Board of Directors coordinated with Tan Phuc Commune Police to summon students involved in the incident to take statements.
The Board of Directors also summoned homeroom teachers and parents (authorized family members) of students involved in classes 10A5, 10A6, 12A2, 12A3 to inform them about the incident and propose measures to coordinate with the police to resolve the incident.
At the same time, the Board of Directors requested that families whose children beat their friends visit the injured female student being treated at Viet Duc Hospital to apologize, share, encourage and support the family in timely care and treatment.
The school also requested the police of Tan Phuc, Trung Chinh and Te Thang communes (Nong Cong district) to investigate and resolve the incident.
