On September 9, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Principal of Dong Hieu High School (Nghe An) - confirmed the incident that occurred in Cay Xang hamlet, Dong Hieu commune, outside the school campus, after the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year.
In the clip about 2 minutes long, a female student wearing a white shirt was surrounded and beaten by many female friends. A female student wearing a black shirt continuously grabbed her hair, pulled her helmet and hit the victim hard on the head and face. When the female student fell, the group continued to rush in and beat her. It is worth mentioning that many students standing around witnessed and filmed the clip but no one tried to stop them.
After being beaten in pain, the victim fell to the ground in a state of panic. The clip caused a lot of outrage after it went viral on social media.
According to Mr. Cuong, immediately after the incident, the family reported to the police and the students involved were invited to work. On the afternoon of September 9, the school invited parents and related students to remind and coordinate with the family in educating and correcting their behavior.
