Reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper received feedback from many teachers in Nghe An province about the content of not being considered for the title of Emulation Fighter for the 2023-2024 school year because there were no recognized initiatives.
“Around April 2024, I submitted my initiative to the school, the school held a meeting to consider and submit it to the Department of Education and Training to request consideration of recognition of the provincial initiative. However, it has been more than half of November this year, and I have not received the results of the provincial initiative review. Therefore, when considering the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter, I was not considered because I did not have a recognized initiative. This makes me very worried and concerned because achieving the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter is the result of a long process of striving and effort” - a high school teacher in Hoang Mai town reflected.
It is known that many teachers are in the same situation, not being considered for the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter because they have not had any recognized initiatives.
The reporter forwarded the above information to the leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and was told that this year the consideration of provincial initiatives for the education sector was slower than usual because it had to go through a review process at the grassroots level.
On November 19, 2024, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province signed Decision No. 229 recognizing 290 provincial-level initiatives in 2023 in the field of Education and Training in the province.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Emulation and Reward Board of Nghe An province said that at the recent meeting to consider the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter in 2024, many cases of teachers were not considered because they did not have provincial-level initiatives.
“The reason for the delay in recognizing the initiative is not the teachers' fault, so we will consider submitting it to the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council to organize a meeting to consider adding the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter to cases of teachers and education managers with provincial initiatives in 2024, to ensure the rights of cadres, civil servants and workers,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan.
