On November 23, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment project to build the Le Duc Tho - Phieng Kha - Tay Bac University route (Son La city).
Accordingly, the project will be invested by the People's Committee of Son La city with the goal of completing the technical infrastructure system according to the planning, aiming to complete the criteria of a type I urban area, creating conditions to promote socio-economic development.
The project will invest in building an urban, level II road, about 2.5km long; Starting point from Le Duc Tho street (Provincial Social Protection Center), ending point intersecting with Dang Thai Mai street; roadbed width Bn=18.5÷20.5 m, road surface width Bm=10.5 m, sidewalk width Bh=4.0÷5.0 m.
The route has asphalt concrete pavement, drainage system, lighting system, traffic safety system and other items.
The total investment of the project is 135 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance and resettlement support is 32.6 billion VND, and the construction cost is 85.4 billion VND.
The project belongs to group B project, construction site in Son La city. Implementation progress from 2025-2028.
The project uses Son La province's budget. In the 2021-2025 period, about 35 billion VND will be used from the unallocated capital in Resolution No. 278/NQ-HDND dated December 19, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting and allocating the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period from local budget capital (phase 11). In the 2026-2030 period, about 100 billion VND will be used from medium-term public investment capital.
On the same day, according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the starting point of the project (Le Duc Tho Street) is currently a dirt and rock road, making it difficult for people to travel.
Ms. Bui Thi Mo (residing in Son La city) shared that when they learned about the investment in construction of the road, everyone was excited, hoping that the project would soon be implemented to ensure traffic as well as develop the local economy.
