According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in Vinh Long province, the road of about 1km from Long Ho town to Loc Hoa bridge has been under construction for many months, causing difficulties for traffic participants, especially workers coming to work in Hoa Phu Industrial Park (Long Ho district).
Many workers compare this road to a "road of suffering" because there is a lot of dust when traveling, especially the current hot weather.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Loi (worker, Mang Thit district) shared with us: "Every morning when I go to work and after work, I have a hard time because of the fog, and I myself have rhinitis. The biggest worry is the upcoming rainy season, the road is muddy, we don't know what to do".
According to Ms. Vo Thi Huyen Trang (Long Ho district), due to sluggish construction, the road surface is rough, to avoid accidents, people have to move very slowly.
"The road is often congested, combined with dust, making everyone work hard, and when they get to the company, they are clothes with tightness" - Ms. Trang lamented.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuc - Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Long Ho district (project investor) - said that the project to upgrade and expand DH.22 (Bao Kien) route, section 4 (from bordering Provincial Road 909 to Loc Hoa Bridge), with a total length of 1,409m, with a construction cost of more than 7.6 billion VND, will start construction in October 2024.
Mr. Phuc said that the construction unit has reported that the main cause of the unfinished construction is due to the shortage of stone supply from construction materials stores.
"To remove difficulties and create the most favorable conditions for the construction unit to soon have a source of necessary materials, the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Long Ho district has proactively contacted construction materials businesses in Vinh Long province, actively seeking a stable source of stone for the project" - Mr. Phuc said.
It is known that under the contract with the construction unit, this project will be completed on April 15, 2025. Facing the above difficulty, the construction unit has applied for extension of progress. The investor has submitted to Long Ho District People's Committee for consideration to approve the extension until May 15, 2025, with the commitment of the project will be completed and officially put into use.
