At around 1:30 a.m. on January 24, on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, at Km212 through Thuan Minh commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province, a series of accidents occurred between 2 sleeper buses and 3 cars. The accident occurred on the South - North side of the road.
No one was injured in the accident, but the scene in the middle of the road affected traffic on the highway. Because the accident location was between the Ba Bau and Ma Lam intersections (National Highway 28), the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 under Department 6, Traffic Police Department temporarily closed the entrance to Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Highway at the Ba Bau intersection and diverted traffic to National Highway 1 to avoid congestion.
Vehicles traveled on National Highway 1 to Phan Thiet, then turned onto National Highway 28, reached Ma Lam intersection, then continued onto Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
The accident scene was also cleared by Team 6. At 4:30 a.m. the same day, the last passenger bus involved in the accident was removed from the scene by a rescue crane.
