On December 7, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province issued a notice on organizing traffic diversion on the Prenn Pass route (Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province) from December 8.
Accordingly, people and vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the Prenn Pass from 11am to 5pm on December 8 so that authorities can cut down trees at risk of falling, causing traffic insecurity.
In addition to the above time limit, people and vehicles (except trucks) are allowed to travel again on the Prenn Pass route.
The Department of Construction requested the No. 1 Construction Investment Project Management Board to organize the clearing of trees and ensure the road for vehicles to be completed before 4:30 p.m. the same day.
This unit also recommends that people limit travel on the route when there is heavy rain, at night, limited visibility ( fog); always pay attention to the current situation during the travel time to promptly handle any incidents.
Previously, during a prolonged period of heavy rain, Prenn Pass experienced landslides in many locations, forcing the pass to be closed on November 17, then allowing traffic back on November 25.
Next, the positive slope of this road collapsed on December 4, so traffic should be banned through the site - until December 5, the pass will be restricted according to the time frame for the authorities to handle the scene and prevent landslides.
