The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just submitted a document to the People's Council of Bac Ninh province on approving the policy of assigning the competent authority to implement the Ha Bac 1 Bridge and the approach road project connecting Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province.
Accordingly, the width of the bridge is 22.5m, the length of the bridge is about 970m. The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are invested according to the approved plan, ensuring connection to the regional traffic system.
The total investment is expected to be about 1,700 billion VND from the central budget support and the provincial budget public investment capital.
It is expected that the project will be prepared for investment in 2025, started in 2026, and completed in 2028.
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval of the policy of assigning the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province as the managing agency to implement the Ha Bac 1 Bridge and the approach road project connecting Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province.
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province shall report to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision to assign the project management agency as the basis for organizing the implementation of the next steps according to the provisions of law.
Previously, on February 19, the People's Council of Bac Giang province also issued a Resolution approving the policy of assigning the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province as the competent authority to implement the Ha Bac 1 Bridge Construction Investment Project.
The project is located on route DT.298B of Bac Giang province, DT.295C of Bac Ninh province, connecting DT.398 (ring Road IV of Bac Giang province) with National Highway 18.
Bac Ninh and Bac Giang are considered the industrial capital of the North with many large-scale industrial parks, and are the production sites of many large economic groups around the world such as Samsung, Amkor, Goertek, Foxconn, etc.
Strengthening traffic connectivity will contribute to the socio-economic development of localities and the whole region.
In June 2023, the Nhu Nguyet bridge expansion project, spanning the Cau River, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang, was inaugurated, located on the main artery expressway of Hanoi - Lang Son.
The Ha Bac 2 bridge project with a total investment of 358 billion VND connecting Viet Yen town and Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) with Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) is also under construction.
These two localities are also coordinating the implementation of the Van Ha bridge project connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province with Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province. The total investment is 220 billion VND.
