Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - has just inspected the actual location of the proposed construction of Van Ha bridge (Bac Ninh area).
According to the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, the investment project to build Van Ha bridge connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town (Bac Giang) with Hoa Long ward (Bac Ninh city) plans to build the bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge as follows:
The bridge construction location is determined according to the adjusted Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan and the Bac Ninh City Urban Zoning Plan, connecting from Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater to Van Ha commune; the total length of the bridge is about 360m; the total width of the bridge is 12.0m; the total estimated investment is about 220 billion VND; expected to start construction in 2025 and be completed in 2026.
The completed project will create conditions to promote economic, cultural and social exchanges, contributing to disaster prevention and rescue between the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
On December 2, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received a document from the People's Committee of Bac Giang province regarding the coordination of investment in the Van Ha bridge connecting the two provinces.
Previously, on September 10, when Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation inspected the flood situation and flood response work in Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province, local people made a proposal to the Prime Minister about building Van Ha bridge across Cau river connecting Bac Giang and Bac Ninh.
The Prime Minister has assigned the People's Committees of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces to balance and allocate resources to build Van Ha bridge and calculate the design for possible expansion in the future.

Strengthening transport connectivity will contribute to the socio-economic development of localities and the whole region.
In June 2023, the expanded Nhu Nguyet Bridge, spanning the Cau River, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang, was inaugurated, located on the vital Hanoi - Lang Son highway.
The Ha Bac 2 bridge project, with a total investment of 358 billion VND, connecting Viet Yen town and Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) with Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) is also under construction.
