According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Huy - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Civil Defense of Da Nang City, on average, each year Da Nang is directly or indirectly affected by 1-2 strong storms above level 10 and 1-2 major floods.

Most recently, heavy rains caused urban flooding in 2018; 2022, causing a lot of damage to state and people's property. Therefore, education activities on natural disaster prevention and climate change adaptation in schools are very important.
