On April 28, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province announced that the Provincial People's Council issued a resolution on investment policy for the Saigon River road construction project, from National Highway 13 (near Vinh Binh canal) to Vinh Phu 40 road.
Accordingly, the project has 2 components including site clearance and construction of a road along the Saigon River. The total investment of the project is 4,942 billion VND.
Of which, the cost of compensation, support, and resettlement for site clearance is expected to be about VND 3,962 billion. The construction cost is about 603 billion VND. The project management cost is about 31 billion VND. The contingency cost is about 334 billion VND, the rest is other costs.
The project will use provincial budget capital and other legal capital sources.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the project is 3,945 m long, the roadbed is 32 m wide. The sidewalk on the residential side is 5 m wide, the riverbank is 4 m wide. The road will build a complete drainage, lighting and tree system.
To implement the project, it is expected to clear each side from 4 m to 14 m. Some sections of the route with land towards the riverbank will be reclaimed to build parks and sports facilities. It is necessary to reclaim an area of about 22.86 hectares of land in Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An city.
Regarding the project implementation period, from 2025 to 2027, the site clearance period will be. The project implementation period starts from 2026 to 2030.
