Regarding the overall progress of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board said that, up to now, the project has achieved 80.3% of the work volume (the elevated section has been completed, the underground section has reached 50.27%).
Currently, the underground ramp is 73.3% completed, Station S9 is 51.7% completed, the Vertical Well is 41.74% completed, Stations S10, S11, S12 (including lane change road and Garage) are 65.3%, 58.97%, 43.3% completed respectively.
Construction activities are taking place at all sites. At station S10, the external structure is being implemented, at station S11, the station base slab is completed, and at station S12, the construction is being carried out to partially fill the southern part of the top slab and the excavation of the transfer slab is underway.
The lane change and garage are starting to implement excavation and construction of the top slab in area I.2, construction of base layer 2/2 of garage I.1 and road restoration in area I.1, underground slope area while implementing excavation and construction of box tunnel structure.
Previously, at the end of July 2024, the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) excavator began drilling the underground section of the Nhon - Hanoi station metro line.
TBM1 (named Than Toc) drilled from Station S9 - Kim Ma at a depth of 17.8m. To date, TBM1 has constructed 631m of tunnel, 420 tunnel lining rings have been installed.
Currently, this excavator is stopped at the Well, one of the important items of the project. When TBM1 drilled about 900m, TBM2 (named Bold) started drilling.
Two robots dug two parallel tunnels from Station S9 - Kim Ma Station to Station S12 - Tran Hung Dao Station. The tunnel digging speed depends on the surrounding geological properties as well as logistics factors, to minimize the impact on above-ground structures.
According to plan, the 4km underground excavation of the Nhon - Hanoi station metro line will be completed in October 2025.
