On the afternoon of December 7, floodwaters receded at a section of a 20m long residential road in Kim Binh village, Ham Thang ward - where it was washed away by floodwaters on December 5.
The receding water revealed a series of concrete road surfaces swept away, along with many dragon fruit pillars and trees along the run-down stream.
The landslide section creates a large gap between the two banks. On the other side of the shore, there are 13 households with 49 people living there.

Since the water receded, people could walk through it, but traveling by motorbike was almost impossible. The lives of households are even more difficult because most of them grow vegetables and dragon fruit, which requires daily transportation of agricultural products.

Present at the scene inspection on the afternoon of December 7, Mr. Le Ngoc Tien - Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province - said that this was a serious natural disaster and would be prioritized for immediate treatment.
" Tomorrow, December 8, we will send forces to survey and develop a plan to repair the road so that people can travel safely" - Mr. Tien said.

Previously, on the afternoon of December 5, floodwaters from the Cai River rose strongly, overflowing into the land of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung of about 2 hectares. The strong flood has washed away the concrete road.
Most sadly, 9 graves in this area were also swept away by floodwaters, families searched after the water receded but so far there have been no results.

Immediately after the incident, Ham Thang commune authorities placed warning signs to prevent people from approaching the dangerous area.
Due to the strong water flow that temporarily isolated 13 households, the Mobile Police of Lam Dong Provincial Police swam through the water to provide food. By noon on December 6, the water receded, helping the area gradually stabilize.
