On January 11, the People's Committee of Cam Lo district (Quang Tri province) confirmed that the locality is implementing the construction of 2 overpasses on the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, and the site clearance is undertaken by Cam Lo district.
Up to this point, the site clearance work has not been completed, because some cases have not agreed to receive compensation.
Accordingly, the National Highway 9 overpass through Cam Hieu commune (Cam Lo district) has 88 households affected. Currently, 40/52 cases within the approved overpass area; 29/36 cases outside the approved overpass area. The cases that have not been approved for site clearance are due to disagreement on unit prices and are still in the process of requesting support.
Regarding the National Highway 9 overpass in Cam Thuy commune (Cam Lo district), there are 30 affected cases. Of which, 13 cases are within the scope of the overpass, and 11 cases have been approved for site clearance; 2 cases have not agreed on the support price. 17 cases are outside the scope of the overpass and are affected, of which 14 cases have been approved and 3 cases have not agreed on the housing compensation price.
Cases affected by the construction of the two above-mentioned expressway overpasses requested price support and social security after the project was completed.
Mr. Le Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - said that site clearance for the construction of National Highway 9 overpasses is very important, aiming to speed up the progress of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project to open the expressway in April 2025. Regarding the opinions of people affected by the construction of the overpass, Cam Lo District People's Committee is requested to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to review each specific petition, to advise on early solutions, in case the petition exceeds the authority, it must be compiled and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
Previously, at the end of August 2024, to ensure the construction progress of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway overpass, Cam Lo district coordinated with relevant agencies and units to organize forces to support and protect the construction on the land managed by the State, passing through Cam Hieu commune.
