Based on the proposal of Gia Lam Bus Station, the Hanoi Department of Transport has adjusted traffic organization to allow some vehicles to travel on Chuong Duong Bridge.
According to the plan, transit vehicles have been granted a badge by the Department of Transport to travel through Chuong Duong Bridge from 6:00 a.m. on February 28, 2025 until a replacement notice is issued.
Previously, on September 9, 2024, the Department of Transport issued Notice No. 955/TB-SGTVT on adjusting traffic organization, limiting some vehicles on Chuong Duong Bridge.
The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police to arrange forces to guide traffic flow for vehicles participating in traffic to ensure traffic safety (ATGT), avoiding traffic congestion.
Strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order, urban order on routes and intersections.
Monitor and evaluate the traffic situation on the route and area to promptly detect shortcomings and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.
Request the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts to direct the District Police and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, Hanoi City Traffic Police and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow to avoid traffic congestion.
Organize inspections and handle violations of traffic safety and order, encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business purposes, illegal parking causing traffic insecurity, traffic congestion on roads and intersections in neighboring areas.
The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board will implement the traffic organization adjustment plan (addition of signs, directional signs, etc.) according to the announcement and other relevant current regulations.
Monitor and evaluate the traffic situation on the bridge, the work of inspecting and protecting the traffic infrastructure on Chuong Duong bridge and the area to promptly detect inadequacies, propose appropriate adjustment plans.
The Hanoi Traffic Safety Committee is responsible for announcing the content of traffic organization adjustment on mass media to guide and warn vehicles traveling through Chuong Duong Bridge.
Notify transport enterprises that have been granted a transit badge to Gia Lam Bus Station to grasp the adjustment content of the notice for implementation.
The Traffic Infrastructure Management Department continues to monitor and evaluate the traffic situation and results of the traffic infrastructure inspection of Chuong Duong Bridge and neighboring areas to promptly detect inadequacies, propose solutions and report to the leaders of the Department of Transport to adjust them to suit the actual traffic situation.
Assign the Department of Transport Inspectorate to arrange forces to coordinate with relevant units to organize and guide traffic flow according to the traffic organization adjustment plan.
Assess the traffic situation on the route and area to promptly detect shortcomings and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.
