On June 10, the Hanoi Department of Construction announced a pilot program to adjust traffic organization on Hang Khoai and Cao Thang streets in Hoan Kiem district to ensure traffic safety and overcome traffic congestion in the area.
Based on the current traffic organization on Hang Khoai and Cao Thang streets, the Department of Construction announced a pilot plan to adjust traffic organization, specifically as follows:
Organize one-way traffic for cars on Hang Khoai Street in the direction and section from Nguyen Thien Thuat to Tran Nhat Duat; cars are only allowed to turn right from Hang Khoai to Tran Nhat Duat.
Organize one-way traffic for cars on Cao Thang Street in the direction from Tran Nhat Duat to Nguyen Thien Thuat.
At the turning point on Tran Nhat Duat Street (near Long Bien Bridge): vehicles that want to change direction must go around the safe island (the center of the button area) in the direction of the bow.
The pilot implementation period starts from June 11, 2025 to November 31, 2025.
The Department of Construction assigned the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board to implement the adjustment of the system of painting markings, signs, traffic islands (center of intersections on Tran Nhat Duat Street) ... according to the pilot plan to adjust traffic organization.
Monitor and evaluate the traffic situation on the route and area to promptly detect problems and propose appropriate adjustments to the traffic organization plan.
The Department of Construction Inspectorate arranges forces to coordinate with relevant units to organize traffic flow guidance for vehicles according to the pilot plan to adjust traffic organization (especially in the area of the turning point on Tran Nhat Duat Street, Hang Khoai and Cao Thang streets and coastal streets during the pilot period of traffic organization adjustment).
The Traffic Police Department - City Police is requested to coordinate in guiding traffic flow for vehicles participating in traffic to ensure traffic safety and avoid traffic congestion (especially in the area of the turning point on Tran Nhat Duat Street, Hang Khoai and Cao Thang streets and coastal streets during the pilot period of traffic organization adjustment).
Strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order, urban order on routes and intersections.
