After more than 2 years of construction, the Le Quang Dao extended road project has been completed and officially opened to technical traffic from April 19.
The project is about 2,673m long, with a total investment of more than 705 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District, and started construction in February 2023.
The starting point is at the intersection with Thang Long Avenue, in Me Tri ward (Nam Tu Liem district); the end point is at the border with Duong Noi Urban Area (Ha Dong district).

The route is designed according to inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h. The typical cross-section of the road is 40m wide, meeting 6 lanes; the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section width of 100m...
The leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee assessed that putting the project into operation and use is very important, promptly resolving traffic congestion on main roads, focusing on large traffic volume such as Thang Long Avenue, Road 70, To Huu Street, Le Quang Dao Street... and ensuring to serve the travel needs of the people.
In Hoai Duc district, the project to build a different level intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue has been started after more than 2 years of the decision approving the investment policy.
As part of the Hanoi Capital Transport Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, the project to build a level difference intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue has a total investment of over VND 2,384 billion, from the Hanoi City budget.
The Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned as the investor.

The scale of the construction of the intersection includes turbine branches combined with direct underpasses: Direct underpasses in the direction of Le Trong Tan Street (now Hoang Tung Street) to National Highway 32, the route center coincides with Le Trong Tan Street, arranging 4 lanes with a total length of 975m. The section under Thang Long Avenue is designed with a closed tunnel 150m long. On Le Trong Tan Street, an open tunnel is designed 157.5m long, with a 220m long retaining wall.
On the side of National Highway 32, an open tunnel is designed 157.5m long, with a 200m long retaining wall. The turbine branch bridge with a prestressed reinforced concrete beam has a length of 2,357m/4 branches, the width of the bridge is 8.8m, arranged with 2 lanes, the reinforced concrete retaining wall has a total length of 619m.
The project has the goal of completing the transport infrastructure system (frame infrastructure) according to the plan; Connecting exploitation with transport infrastructure has been invested in construction; Serving the needs of goods circulation, production and travel needs of the people, minimizing traffic congestion, contributing to accelerating the speed of forming urban areas in the region, promoting the socio -economic development of the Capital.
