From January 27, Hanoi allows vehicles to continuously turn right at some intersections to ensure traffic safety and order and reduce congestion.

The Hanoi Department of Transport has just announced a traffic organization plan that allows certain types of vehicles to continuously turn right at some intersections in the area.

This solution aims to ensure traffic safety and order, and reduce traffic congestion in the city.

Accordingly, motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles are allowed to turn right continuously at 45 intersections; all vehicles are allowed to turn right continuously at 35 intersections.

Hanoi Department of Transport also reminded vehicles to pay attention and give way to pedestrians when turning right continuously at intersections.

The traffic organization plan implementation time starts from 6:00 a.m. on January 27, 2025.

The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct the police force and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow at intersections to avoid congestion and ensure traffic order and safety.

At the same time, strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and urban order on roads and intersections.

Relevant units monitor and evaluate traffic situations at intersections to promptly detect problems and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.

The Hanoi Department of Transport assigned the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board to implement the plan to adjust traffic organization (additional signs, directional signs, etc.) according to the content of the notice and other relevant current regulations.
