Hanoi builds 2 projects worth VND1,400 billion, expands 10km of arterial road

Hanoi has just started 2 traffic projects in Ung Hoa and approved a project to upgrade and expand the 10km long arterial road in Soc Son.

On March 10, Ung Hoa district (Hanoi) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build, upgrade and expand National Highway 21B from Xa Kieu bridge, Quang Phu Cau commune to Bac Van Dinh industrial cluster road, Lien Bat commune and the National Highway 21B bypass project through the district.

These two key projects were approved by the Hanoi People's Committee on June 21, 2024 with a cross-section of 35m wide, accommodating 6 lanes. The implementation period is in the period of 2024-2027.

These are the projects with the largest total investment that Ung Hoa district has been assigned by the city as the investor.

Accordingly, the 2 projects have a total investment capital of VND 1,400 billion, of which the National Highway 21B expansion project is VND 845 billion and the National Highway 21B bypass construction project is VND 593 billion.

These routes are all included in the Hanoi Capital Transport Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050, contributing to the completion of National Highway 21B according to the plan.

The investment in expanding and building two new routes not only facilitates people's travel and ensures traffic safety, but also promotes trade, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Ung Hoa district in particular and Hanoi city in general.

Last week, the Hanoi People's Committee also issued a decision approving the investment policy for the project to upgrade and expand the route connecting Noi Bai International Airport through Soc Son satellite urban area to Dai Lai Tourist Area (Vinh Phuc province).

The project has a total investment of 1,492.2 billion VND, passing through Minh Tri, Minh Phu, Quang Tien, Hien Ninh, Tien Duoc communes (Soc Son district). The project implementation period is from 2026 to 2029.

According to the Decision of the Hanoi People's Committee, the project aims to connect inter-provincial traffic between Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai provinces through Soc Son satellite city to Noi Bai International Airport; connect with Vo Nguyen Giap street to the center of Hanoi Capital.

The project also aims to connect major traffic axes in Soc Son district such as National Highway 3, Road 35, Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway... contributing to the gradual planning to develop the satellite urban area approved by the Hanoi People's Committee.

Through the project, create development momentum, attract investors to promote the construction of technical infrastructure of Soc Son satellite urban area, in order to meet the development goals according to the plan by 2030.

The route connecting Noi Bai International Airport through Soc Son satellite urban area to Dai Lai Tourist Area (Vinh Phuc province) is about 10.13km long; cross-section is 50m.

The starting point of the route intersects with the road connecting Soc Son satellite urban area with Vo Nguyen Giap street; the end point intersects with the road connecting Dai Lai Tourist Area to Soc Son district.

The project includes investment items such as drainage systems, technical cages, trees, lighting, traffic safety... traffic is organized in accordance with current regulations and standards of the State.
