Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Truong Vu Thang - Commander of the construction site of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - said that the unit is in charge of constructing 2 bridges on the route including Thi Doi Bridge and Dong Phap Bridge. In particular, Dong Phap Bridge is preparing to construct the bridge deck structure ( install girders and complete the bridge deck); Thi Doi Bridge is constructing the lower structure, expected to reach about 80% of the volume by April 30 and the above structure is expected to be completed in November 2025.

Mr. Truong Vu Thang added that for the unit's work, it will be completed in 2025. However, the unit is currently mobilizing maximum human resources, machinery and equipment to further speed up the progress.
Mr. Dang Hoang Vinh - Director of the Expressway Management Board (under the Can Tho City Construction Investment Project Management Board - investor of Component Project 2) - informed that the project has 4 main construction packages and 1 construction package for the traffic safety system, up to now, reaching a rate of 25% of the construction volume value.

Regarding the bridge, Mr. Dang Hoang Vinh said that there are a total of 30 bridges on the route, over 7.2km long. To date, 28/30 bridges have been constructed, the remaining 2 bridges (keday My Bridge and Ngan Hai Bridge) are single- span bridges, and will be constructed in 2025.
"If the progress is drastically accelerated, over 10 bridges will be completed in 2025, but to complete it, there must be a connecting route," said Mr. Dang Hoang Vinh.
For the section through Hau Giang province, as of March 17, component project 3 reached 35% of the contract value, basically meeting the requirements on output.
Regarding the bridge item on the route, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee - said that currently, the contractor has simultaneously deployed 12/12 bridges on the route; of which, 9/12 bridge piers have been completed, beams have been installed, and 2 bridges have been poured. According to the plan to strive to complete the entire bridge section in July 2025, the progress of the bridge works on the route has so far met and exceeded the set schedule.

Previously, on the afternoon of March 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online meeting with 4 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region including: An Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Can Tho on the progress of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister requested to recover the delayed progress and further speed up the progress, completing the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project in June 2026, while ensuring quality, because the earlier it is completed, the higher the efficiency.
The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang (horizontal) expressway project phase 1 is over 188km long, passing through 4 provinces/cities: An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang. The scale of phase 1 includes 4 lanes, with a design speed of 100km/h. The total investment of the project is about 44,700 billion VND. Component project 2 is located in Can Tho, over 37km long, with a total investment of over VND 9,700 billion; Component project 3 is invested by the Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) of Hau Giang province, over 36km long, with a total investment of nearly VND 9,602 billion.
