On the morning of November 13, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced that the unit had issued an Order to build emergency works to handle and overcome landslides, ensuring traffic safety on National Highway 28 and National Highway 20.
On National Highway 28 (section through Son Dien commune), the authorities will overcome the consequences of natural disasters at Km47+252 - Km54+000. Construction time is 45 days, with an estimated cost of 4.2 billion VND.

For National Highway 20, section Km262+400 - Km262+530 (Treo bridge area, D'Ran pass, Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat), the province also issued an order to build emergency works to handle landslides, with an estimated cost of 5 billion VND, implementation period of 45 days.
Mr. Vu Duc Nhuan, Chairman of Son Dien Commune People's Committee, said that during the construction to fix the problem on National Highway 28, vehicles could still circulate normally under the guidance of the authorities.

If there is a need to divert traffic or limit traffic at some construction sites, the Department of Construction will coordinate with the commune government to notify specifically later.
For National Highway 20 - the route connecting Da Lat (Lam Dong) with Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) - during the repair period (expected for 45 days), vehicles from Da Lat to National Highway 20 will move along Prenn Pass, through the Finom intersection and then around National Highway 27.
On the contrary, vehicles from Phan Rang to Lam Dong go along National Highway 27 - Finom intersection - Prenn Pass to Da Lat.

For people living near the seriously eroded area of D'Ran Pass, the People's Committee of Xuan Truong Ward and related units have temporarily reinforced and paved rocks to connect the road under the forest and the people's coffee garden, about 400m long, to create a temporary and more convenient travel route during the construction period.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from October 26 to 30, prolonged heavy rain caused serious landslides and subsidence on National Highway 20 section Km262+400 - Km262+530 (D'Ran Pass suspension bridge area); Gia Bac Pass also recorded more than 10 landslides and subsidence points.
This situation causes traffic on National Highway 20 and National Highway 28 to be often congested and stalled. On November 2, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to declare a natural disaster emergency for these two routes.
