The Office of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has issued a document conveying the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee regarding the proposal of a company on investing in civil items of Phan Thiet Airport Project.
Previously, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee received an official dispatch from Sun Airport Joint Stock Company, requesting an investment proposal for the above project.
The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the province's specialized agencies to study, review and organize the appraisal of investors' reports. On that basis, advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve the proposals of this company in accordance with the provisions of law.
In the project proposal document, this company has made many recommendations related to the project. Including a proposal to allow the project to start construction on August 19, 2025.
Phan Thiet airport started construction in January 2015. According to the approved Planning, the project consists of 2 items: military airport and civil airport. Currently, the military item built by the Air Defense - Air Force has been basically completed.
The civil items under the form of BOT contracts are in the process of adjusting the investment policy (increasing the scale from level 4C to 4E) and selecting a replacement investor. Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee is carrying out procedures according to regulations.
