On May 11, information from Mr. Nguyen Duy Dung, Chairman of Tam Dao Town People's Committee said that at around 5:30 p.m. yesterday (May 10), a traffic accident occurred at Tam Dao Pass, injuring a man and a woman on a motorbike.
Tam Dao town authorities then took him to Tam Dao District Medical Center for emergency treatment.

Not long before, an accident also occurred on the above road when two young girls were driving a scooter down Tam Dao slope.
When taking a turn, due to not being able to control the speed and lacking experience in handling situations, the car suddenly crashed straight into the guardrail on the side of the road.

The strong collision caused both the person and the vehicle to be thrown out, and the debris from the motorbike was scattered everywhere. Fortunately, the two girls from Thai Nguyen were not affected in any way.
According to the doctor, the female driver suffered minor scratches on her legs while the other girl had to suture both nooses in her legs.

Regarding the passenger bus overturning incident when going down Tam Dao Pass, on May 7, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Phuc Province Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain driver Nguyen Van Tu (42 years old, residing in Tan Phong Commune, Ninh Giang District, Hai Duong) for the crime of violating regulations on road traffic.
Through investigation, on the morning of April 26, Tu drove a passenger car with license plate 29F-059.95 carrying 17 passengers from the center of Tam Dao town to Hop Chau town when an accident occurred, killing 4 people and injuring many others.
The police determined that Tu could not control the speed when the car went downhill, hit the curve, causing the passenger bus to overturn and roll on the road, hit the guardrail (road railing) before stopping.

According to local authorities, although the distance from the foot of the mountain to the center of Tam Dao tourist area is about 14km, the road is small and has many sharp turns with many potential dangers.
Especially when going down the mountain, many drivers often use brakes, causing the brakes to heat up and lose their effectiveness, leading to accidents.
Major Nguyen Van Trung, Captain of the Road Traffic Police Team - Traffic Police Department of Vinh Phuc Provincial Police, shared: "To minimize accidents when going down Tam Dao Pass, absolutely do not turn off the floating machines. Keeping the engine running continuously will help take advantage of the braking force from the engine, supporting vehicle speed control without relying too much on the brakes.
In addition, it is important to keep in mind "which number is, down that number". If in the process of climbing the driver's pass, when the downhill should also keep the number 2, avoiding the case of high numbers, causing the car to rush to lose control. When it is necessary to slow down, the driver should switch to lower numbers instead of continuous brake pedal, in order to limit the phenomenon of braking or boiling brake fluid dangerous. "

According to Major Nguyen Van Trung, when traveling on the pass, drivers need to follow the correct route, paying special attention to observing the convex mirrors installed at the corners and using a reasonable horn to signal the vehicle going in the opposite direction.
"The most dangerous area in Tam Dao Pass is usually the middle section, from the top down there are many bends of the sleeves. Therefore, while downhill, the driver is absolutely not overcome, especially in the folding crabs or limited vision. The set added.
