Slow site clearance causes construction to be unfinished
According to Lao Dong Newspaper on August 29, most sections of Provincial Road 414C have been basically completed. However, there are still some sections of the road that have not been completed due to the land clearance.
Mr. Nguyen Dac Diet (Ba Vi, Hanoi) said that Provincial Road 414C was started to be built in 2022, but until now, many sections of the road have not been constructed because some people have not agreed to clear the land.
Accordingly, many sidewalks and drainage ditches on Provincial Road 414C are under construction, causing rainwater to stagnate. People have no way to enter their homes and have to use ladders or ask someone else to help them.
“When it rains, mud puddles appear in the unfinished construction areas, making them slippery and water splashes everywhere, dirtying the students’ clothes,” Mr. Diet added.

Mr. Vu Van Kim (Ba Vi, Hanoi) said he was very excited when the project was implemented. However, the progress of site clearance was slow, the construction unit was working on each section, making it very difficult for people to travel.
“When traveling on Provincial Road 414C through the upgraded sections, it is wide and airy. However, less than 200m later, we reach a section of road that has not been widened and is narrow, causing inconvenience while traveling,” said Mr. Kim.
Complete the project soon to restore the road to its former glory.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Manh - Director of Ba Vi District Project Management Board - said that the project to renovate and expand provincial road 414C is more than 8km long, with a total investment of more than 276 billion VND, and will start construction from October 2022. Due to the delay in site clearance, the construction process will be affected, causing difficulties for people to travel.
"There are many sections that have just been cleared and handed over to the construction unit to soon complete the upgrade of the road," Mr. Manh added.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Luong - technical officer of the project to renovate and expand provincial road 414C under Quang Tay Joint Stock Company - said that as soon as the site was available, the unit mobilized maximum human resources and machinery to quickly carry out the remaining stages of the project.
“The project has now reached 90% of the construction volume. It is expected to be technically opened to traffic in October 2024 and complete the upgrading and expansion of Provincial Road 414C by the end of 2024,” Mr. Luong shared.
