According to the passenger's reflection on the train at around 5:45 p.m. to 5:50 p.m., water from the air conditioning system in a train car suddenly flowed Tong Tong from the ceiling, causing many people to panic and try to avoid it. Some passengers had to open the compartment in the train car as if they were traveling in the rain.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung (residing in Ha Dong, Hanoi) shared: On the afternoon of May 19, I took a train from Cat Linh to Ha Dong as usual. At around 5:50 p.m., water began to flow from the air conditioning system on the train carriage ceiling. Some passengers panicked, had to wade to another place, some even opened their umbrellas to avoid getting wet.
In response to the above incident, a representative of Hanoi Metro Railway Company Limited (Hanoi Metro) said that immediately after receiving the feedback, the unit had directed technical staff to inspect, review and handle when the train arrived at Ba La Depot (Ha Dong).
According to Hanoi Metro, the initial cause was determined to be the water pipeline system of the air conditioner in the train car, causing stagnation and water reflux down.
A representative of Hanoi Metro said that they will conduct inspections of all the dieuarding systems on the trains in operation, while strengthening maintenance and repair work to ensure service quality and operational safety.
