Hoa Binh - Authorities have just discovered a passenger bus running on National Highway 6 carrying 1 ton of foul-smelling animal organs on its way to Dien Bien.

On December 7, Hoa Binh Provincial Police informed that authorities had destroyed 1 ton of animal organs of unknown origin.

Previously, on the night of December 5, at Km104 National Highway 6 (in Nhan My commune, Tan Lac district), through information from local people, the working group of Tan Lac Traffic Police Station (Hoa Binh Provincial Police) discovered a sleeper bus with license plate 29E-050.11 acting suspiciously, so they signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the passenger car driven by Luong Van Chinh (born in 1993, residing in Na Nhan, Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province) was carrying 8 foam boxes covered with yellow tape containing about 1 ton of animal organs (mainly buffalo and cow organs).

The animal organs in these Styrofoam boxes had no refrigeration system, gave off a foul odor, and were not properly preserved. The working group requested to check the relevant documents, but the driver could not produce them.

According to the driver's statement, the styrofoam boxes containing the organs were transported from Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi to be delivered to a customer in Dien Bien province.
