On March 14, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had issued instructions on the management of four-wheeled motorized passenger vehicles.
Recently, the type of 4-wheeled motorized passenger vehicle licensed to operate is limited in Khanh Hoa.
Currently, there are 3 transport business units participating in the pilot of passenger transport business activities by 4-wheeled vehicles with electric engines for a total of 33 vehicles.
This type of vehicle has a route operating mainly in Nha Trang city. In addition to positive contributions to the development of the local economy, services and tourism, the operation of this type of vehicle in reality still has some limitations and inadequacies such as stopping and parking in the wrong place; picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations, affecting traffic order and safety.
To ensure order and traffic safety in the province, prevent accidents and traffic congestion in the new situation, Khanh Hoa province requires localities to coordinate with relevant units to organize the placement of signs of maximum operating speed, signs prohibiting or restricting the operation of 4-wheeled vehicles with engines for transporting passengers and goods on routes under their management.
Organize propaganda and disseminate regulations on the management of the use of four-wheeled motorized vehicles to transport passengers and goods; time and scope of operation of four-wheeled motorized vehicles in the area.
Khanh Hoa province also requested the Provincial Police to direct the functional forces to manage, inspect, and strictly handle violations that cause accidents and traffic congestion for the above type of vehicle, especially the group of behaviors: "Stop, park in violation of regulations", "Do not drive on the correct route, schedule, and transportation routes allowed for operation", "Violating regulations on vehicle drivers".
