At the site to inspect the construction status of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project, the representative of the construction unit reported that they are arranging about 30 construction teams. However, there are still problems with the site, some places where people are obstructing the construction and recent heavy rains have caused difficulties.
Mr. Phan Van Ton - Chairman of Hoa Vang District People's Committee - said that currently, the clearance work has reached 11.27 km/11.47 km of basic land area, there are only 2 cases of forced eviction, at times the construction unit only brought a machine, scraped a little and then stopped.
"If we do that, the government cannot mobilize forces to support the construction day after day," said Mr. Ton.
Through inspection, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy said that the three construction units, Truong Son Construction Corporation, Traffic Construction Corporation 5 and One Member Company Limited 17, mobilized machinery and equipment for the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project but did not meet the requirements. The construction site was unsynchronized and sloppy, as if the machinery was being "showed off".
"I am very sad that all three construction units mobilized machinery and equipment that did not meet the reality. The signs on the road were very grand, but the construction site was as deserted as Ba Danh Pagoda. When the local authorities came to protect the construction, he brought out a few machines.
"This approach is not good. With that progress, I suggest that the investor review and build a schedule, and if necessary, handle the contract immediately," said the Deputy Minister.
The Deputy Minister requested Hoa Vang district to support the construction of the locations where the land has been handed over, and to organize the enforcement of the remaining 2 households to complete the land in November. The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board will develop a detailed construction schedule, add 5 construction teams, and any locations where land has not been constructed must be supplemented and sent to Hoa Vang district for support during the implementation process.
The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway project, part of the North - South Eastern Expressway, invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, started construction in September 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025 with a length of about 11.5km, passing through 3 communes of Hoa Lien, Hoa Son, Hoa Nhon (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) with a total project investment of nearly 2,113 billion VND, of which compensation costs for site clearance and resettlement are over 951 billion VND.
